About

I'm Amjad Khader, an engineering leader based in Berlin. I'm currently a Senior Software Engineer at SAP LeanIX with domain ownership of the Survey product, and recently served as Acting Engineering Manager for Team Pegasus during a transition period. I build systems that let engineering teams do their best work — and I ship AI-native product features that customers actually use.

Impact

Initiatives I've defined, led, or delivered — with the outcomes they produced.

Delivery & technical leadership

  • Voting Survey, end-to-end. Led UI/UX and system design in partnership with Product and UX, then delivered the feature into production.
  • Resolved a customer-blocking Survey defect. Diagnosed and fixed a data-processing bottleneck producing HTTP 5XX errors that had blocked LeanIX's largest enterprise customer from creating new surveys.
  • Acting Engineering Manager, Team Pegasus. Assumed delivery management, cross-team dependency coordination, and team leadership during a transition period —zero service disruptions through the handover.

  • Tech Talk & Coffee. Launched a knowledge-sharing series that created space for engineers to present ideas and grow as contributors.
  • Career growth conversations. Ran regular 1:1s with timely feedback and mentoring for engineers across the team.

AI-native product development

  • AI-Assisted Automations & Automations Audit Log. Currently shaping the scope and direction of both features at LeanIX, mentoring engineers through delivery, and defining next steps from customer needs and technical feasibility.
  • 2-step audit log proposal for Automations. Proposed the original product vision after firsthand customer interviews; the Automations Audit Log is its first phase.
  • Feature Flag service via AI-powered PDLC. Driving end-to-end design and delivery via cross-team RFC, built using an AI-powered product development lifecycle.
  • NLU and decision-making engines at Mawdoo3.Response accuracy 79% → 95%

Hiring & talent

  • Led live-coding interviews alongside Engineering Managers for Backend Engineer candidates — assessing both technical ability and team fit.
  • Shadowed EM-led interviews across the full Backend Engineer hiring loop, gaining exposure to every stage of the evaluation process.
  • Conducted 10+ technical interviews at Mawdoo3, working with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate candidates.

Cross-team & organizational

  • On-Call Duty go-to for the A&C tribe at LeanIX — coordinated incident response across teams.
